  1. william knibb is the best school in trelawny, but i think it need help, such as it need to be painted over i also think that the auditorium need fixing.the classrooms need to be paint over and there sould be more desks, but otherwise from that every think is good, because the children are learning and they are well educated.oh there is one more think the food menu need to be change are more thinks need to be added to the lunch menu.

  2. William Knibb is one of the worst school ever. All they talk about is money. I have been there and everytime they ask for money to build the cafeteria and all now it isn't finish. They try to be strict but thats the least the slackness that goes there is unbearable. Teachers do not have manners and treat children in some dirty ways. The average of the school has dropped over the past year as they seem to be taking up anything that comes because children are wasting quality time smoking and drinking. Why do they have security? I dont know. Miss. Diana Wynter is one of the laziest principal ever. I think Miss. Lee did a better job. Although they are hated by many Mr.Powell, Mr.Desouza and Mr. Thompson are the only two keeping up the school.

  4. Instead of putting down the school,we all need to come together and make it better, I,m speaking on behalf of myself, students, past students and faculty, who called william knibb home. As a fellow past student, I think the only way william knibb will be better is when we as people come together and make it better. Remember, the students are the school, not the building.

  5. William knibb was and is the home of great people, and people like Usain Bolt should be held accoutable for not putting back more(not sure of any donations not even a mention on is long travells and interviews.) Hes been there and knows the routine.I strongly believe that a small pinch from of is newly aquired riches could full a few gapps not asking to build the school.Mrs winter as always been a soft pricipal she needs to go.MR G Moseley,Mr P Service ,Mr D and Mr T have earn and set their respects. The school could do with more teachers like them. Its been 5 years since I left William Knibb and its a disgrace that the school still dont have a lunch room. When I was in 1st form Everyone had to pay $500 each to contribute to the lunch room and they kept collecting until I Graduated and until now its not finish.I got so MOE friends that will definatly pay them a visit because I still consider that school as my home.Goodbye(El Chico the Prezzident)

  6. A School is what the persons who are associated with it make it. Many people complain about the William Knibb but i think that they complain because they did not make the best of their opportunity at the school. I was a student there for five years and i know that there are good, respectful, loving and hardworking teachers there. Things were not always what they should be but lets face it if there were less complaints and more solutions to these problems the problems could have been solved. I love my school and even though i am now a past student i still call it my school, because there is nowhere else that i would rather have been than my Alma Martyr William Knibb High School. Special big ups to Mr Powell, Miss Wynter, Mrs Eunis, Mr mosely, Mr D' sousa and Miss Scarlett.

  9. This school is a good school academical but the teachers i think aren't doing enough towards discipline, and behaviour practice on compound. one day i attend PTA and to my surprise in front of teacher two girls stood there sucking out each other tongue i mean deep kissing and the teacher said nothing.

  10. I will return to Falmouth my birthplace and William Knibb Memorial High School will significantly benefit. The only problem I find is that you will return to help improve conditions in the town and surrounding areas and it is sad to say but some selfish person will try to kill you instead of working with you to provide employment. I have so many friends here in Canada and the USA who said they are not returning because the people are only out to get what you have for themselves. Any how William Knibb did not get the help as Cornwall College because it did not have a grade 12. As such most people who went on to other schools identify with those schools. I do hope I can return soon and make a difference with some much needed cash infusion and some godliness which most people despise because it is about us as a people learning to fear God and be discipline.

  11. I am a former student from FalmouthOctober 7, 2010 at 5:34 PM

My time at William Knibb Memorial High School was memorable. That time frame was from 1979 to 1983. There were some outstanding students and teachers during that time. Our principal then, Mr Faloon was a no nonsense principal. I remember Mr. Young my physics teacher was the best science teacher who knew his material. He taught me how to calculate rapidly without a calculator. We also had some good soccer teams. One year we had the best soccer team in school boy football. That year we beat Cornwall college twice but drew all of our matches in the second round. That year Cornwall College went on to win the DaCosta Cup and Oliver Shield Trophy by beating St.Georges the Manning Cup winner. I will say to this, if the current crop of students and teachers take pride in the school and put discipline and learning under God's direction and control above all else, the school will become one of the best in Jamaica. Not long from now a group of well intended former students who only wish to make the school a great school will return to revive and improve the school's image and the educational standard. Honestly, unless the school performs well at the grade 12 level and produce some exceptional academic, business and sports personnel who will excel in their chosen field of focus, it will be hard to have the students take pride in the school. Their is a saying, "success breeds success". When successful students return and give motivational talks, it will encourage the current and future students to strive for the same success. I will get in touch some of those former students who are successful and arrange an extravaganza to promote the school and raise funds to build the required facilities where exceptional studies can be achieve. The school needs decent science, business, arts and sports (great track, cricket and soccer pitch plus a training section so as to keep the playing one in good condition, 2 lawn tennis courts, a swimming pool, gym) departments facilities (buildings should have great class rooms, labs, libraries/research center and printing press, school stores, auditorium staff and student lounges and sports gyms for indoor sports), also a green house facility for the agricultural science department. These facilities in place with the right staff will help William Knibb Memorial High School to make its mark in Jamaica. Two years from now that will be realized with the work completed within two years later on one of the most modernize and equip high school in Jamaica. I am talking about $15.00 million Canadian dollars to accomplish that work. It will be done and become coveted institution. Again, I will return. Count on it.

  12. William to me was the best throught my five years there,i admit i got into my fair shar of trouble but come'on who didn't.Especially in my grade nine days i noticed how i was changing dramatically due to the pressure that was being put on us.And even though i didn't agree with the way some of the Teachers used to handle us,it was in grade 10 i got the big picture to everything and decided i needed to buckle down, off course without the advice and guidance of a select few of teachers like Ms.Nugent,Mr.D,Mr.Becky,
Ms.Mckay,Mr.Mosley,Ms.Hamilton and yeah Mr.T had an influence on me as well. All of you teachers should be very proud with all the effort you've made in creating responsible adults for the future ^_^.oh and i don't have anything against any of the other teachers OK.

William Knibb might not be the best school overall but it is the best school in the parish. the physical/outward appearance might not be presentable but not one student can leave that school without there subjects or some form of skill.i have attended that school for 5 years(2005-2010) honestly when i was there i couldn't wait to leave but now that i have left and i have experienced other institutions i wish i could go back there and further my study. All schools has there problems so lets not make the little that we encounter at William Knibb depict the steps of others. big up all my teachers who never gave up:Ms.Lindsay,Ms.Jarett,Ms.Mason,Mr.Tracey and the list goes on.
KNIBB SCHOOL A DI BEST STRAIGHT UP.

  16. I think William Knibb is the greatest institution of learning in the Parish of Trelawny. It will always be a special place to me. I received a great education under the direction of teachers like Mr Wilson, Ms Swaby, Mrs Cumberbatch, to name a few. Mr Fallon was the best. He instilled discipline and he commanded respect. The children of our generation were quite different from today's. Our parents did not tolerate rudeness or laziness. We can't blame the teachers because the children will be up in your face telling you about guns and knives. Parents need to go back to the old ways of discipline. I will end by saying let us always support the school that helped to make us what we are today.

  17. My High School William Knibb is one of the best high School in Jamaica. There are some greatly educated and dedicated Teachers there. William knibb should be a community College with the magnitude of knowledge combine among all educators there with their degree and years of experience and dedication teaching. That is what makes us the best. That Institution was where my rubber met the road and there was no turning back from there. On my journey I have attended many other institutions here in the US. and I am talking rated Colleges and found out that student in my class just coming out of high school can't even read a loud because they cannot spell, Teacher have to ask student to correct errors in their spelling time after time A WHA UNU A TALK BOUT WILLIAM KNIBB. Don't be ungrateful, stop burning your bridges DAT DEH SCHOOL DEH A DI BEST SINCE SLICE BREAD. Right now William Knibb Has one of the best Alumini Website in the Caribbean, A WHO RUN DAT, Past student who got their education there. Let us all try to use the site to send what we can to help the institution like send a couple of maybe use computers, some chairs, books, paint restuarant equiptment, projector and so fort. Call me lets do somthhing for the institution My Name is Malcolm 404 748 3760 thank you much.
